Drill in Keswick!
January, February, March, and April 2004
Through the auspices of Corporal Bruce Whittaker, we have a place for those interested in drilling at the Lake Simcoe Public School - 38 Thornlodge Drive, Keswick, Ontario which is a scant hours drive North from Toronto.
Drill will begin at the school at between 7:30 and 8:00pm (or 19:30 and 20:00 if you prefer) and will be held on...

You do not need "period dress" for these drills and if a firearm is not available or you're unable to bring one, please let brucewhittaker@uppercanadianheritage.com know so arrangements can be made.
These drill sessions will go right up until Spring Training so if you, like y'r humble webmaster, are still learning, it's a great chance to come out and spend some time learning and meeting with your fellow Norfolkers!
These drill sessions are not mandatory but are highly recommended!

If you will be coming for sure and need directions to the school...
The closest intersections are Leslie Street and Ravenshoe Road to the west and Woodbine Avenue and Ravenshoe Road to the east. From Toronto head north via 404 which ends at Green Lane. Exit 404 to Green Lane west to Leslie. At Leslie Street turn right (north) and follow it through Sharon and Queensville and you will reach Ravenshoe Road in Keswick. Turn right at the lights from Leslie onto Ravenshoe and proceed about 500 yards east to Thornlodge
Drive. Turn left (north) on Thornlodge and you can't miss the school. Park in the big lot on the south side and use the south entrance of the school.
As for transportation, those of us who are without car and at the mercy of the TTC, Go, car pooling, and the like, (like y'r humble webmaster... myself and my significant other who also wants to drill are stuck in Toronto near High Park and ergo: TTC it everywhere!) I strongly suggest that you join the "drill" mail list. It would be great if those who can offer rides could also join too.
